Government Expands PLI Scheme to Boost High-Tech Exports
PLI Scheme Expanded to New Sectors to Drive Export Growth
In a major push for 'Make in India for the World', the government has expanded the flagship Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme. New sectors, including advanced materials, robotics, and medical technology, are now eligible for incentives.
This move is designed to attract significant foreign investment, build domestic manufacturing capabilities, and position India as a key player in the global high-tech export market. Enterprises can expect a 4-6% incentive on incremental sales of goods manufactured in India.
